FUNDRAISING FOR PUBLIC ART
My friends - and existing clients - down at the Madison Area Arts Alliance called me up the other day. They’re raising $50,000 by October 8th to receive a matching Indiana State grant, all for the purpose of bringing new public art to town. River’s Edge is a 16-foot sculpture that will be installed at the foot of the Madison-Milton bridge, if the funds are raised - and they needed a way to get the word out on short notice! I was happy to shoot and edit this short video for MAAA, with donated music from Madison’s own Bill Lancton. As my way of pitching in for the cause, I’m donating 50% of this invoice to the project - which will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the state and effectively leave MAAA with a zero-cost bill for this job. Madison is a special place, in part, due to public art - and I’m happy to be part of that effort!
