STORY BEHIND THE SHOT:

One of the most iconic buildings in a town full of iconic buildings, the Lanier Mansion is the centerpiece of Madison's architectural history. Built in 1844 by James F.D. Lanier, it remained in the family until 1917, when it was donated to the Jefferson County Historical Society. It is considered one of the finest examples of Greek Revival architecture in the USA and was designated a National HIstoric Landmark in 1994. On this fine southern Indiana spring day, the redbud trees were blooming and beautiful, and I couldn't resist capturing the scene.

PRINT OPTIONS, DETAILS, AND FAQ:

  • These impressive mini artworks can be used in myriad ways. Use them as inexpensive desk art. Use several different prints to build a wall collage. Or write a note on the back and send a very special message to a loved one!

Printed in the USA on keepsake-quality, extra-thick 18pt stock with a matte finish and a velvety surface feel. Full bleed - print extends to the edges.

4×6”. Single mini prints available for local pickup only.

  • Elegant and perfect for both framing or simply pinning to your wall. These pieces are printed at our local upscale custom framing and print shop. I provide my own professional fine art paper for use with their wide-format Canon printer.

I choose to use Red River Paper’s premium Palo Duro Softgloss Rag, a 100% cotton, acid-free, museum-grade paper with no optical brighteners. This 315gsm, 16.5mil heavyweight paper feels great in hand and the semi-gloss, subtly-textured surface brings the photos to life beautifully. The paper’s lack of acids and brighteners, combined with Canon’s durable pigment inks, mean the prints are truly archival in nature.

Printed with a proportionate white border for easy framing and a classic matted look if hung frameless.

Available shipped or for local pickup in 8×12”, 12×18”, 16×24”, 24×36”, and 40×60” formats.

  • This is an attractive display approach that can be framed or easily shown as is. Artboard mounts are more durable than paper alone and are a good choice for artwork that will be handled or moved frequently. These pieces use the same printing process as the Fine Art Paper option - my hand-selected, heavyweight, semi-gloss, premium photo paper, printed to my specifications. (See the Fine Art Paper option for details.) Then, the prints are permanently dry-mounted to 3/16” rigid foamcore artboard using archival heat-activated adhesive on a professional press.

Artboard allows for a durable, lightweight print that can be hung as is, or framed for a more formal presentation. Printed with a proportionate white border for easy framing and a classic matted look if hung frameless. Hanging hardware included. Artboard mounts left unframed sometimes warp mildly over time, especially larger sizes; this does not affect their durability. Frame to bring back to flat, if necessary.

Available shipped or for local pickup in 8×12”, 12×18”, and 16×24” formats.

24×36” and 40×60” available for local pickup, or inquire for custom shipping options.

  • This is a premium, modern approach to displaying art. A metal print makes a gorgeous showpiece of the photograph, easily lasts for generations, and displays beautifully with no framing. The image irresistibly draws your eye with vibrant colors and remarkable depth. Between the image quality and the striking physical presence of a metal print, the overall impression is one of high-end fine art.

A metal print “floats” off the wall on a hidden mount for dramatic presentation. Metal prints are extremely durable - resistant to bending, scratching, and breakage.

I don’t use the budget metal print shops, instead choosing the nation’s premium metal-only print shop for my photographs. These high-end, semi-gloss ChromaLuxe aluminum panels are dye-sublimated in the USA to exacting standards. Full bleed only - print extends to edges. Hanging hardware included.

Available shipped or for local pickup in 8×12”, 12×18”, 16×24”, 24×36”, and 40×60” formats.

  • Watermarks shown on images are removed before printing - these are used to help prevent piracy.

All prints include my maker’s mark on the back as proof of authenticity.

  • The physical print may vary slightly from what you see on your monitor. This is because monitors vary with regards to brightness, contrast, saturation, and color temperature. One thing your print will be for certain: Absolutely beautiful!

  • In a world full of photographers, I have inspiration and methods of my own - if you’re curious, you can learn about my “why and how” here.
